The owners from Trees From DeHart in Franklin, Indiana were kind enough to let me use their Christmas tree farm for numerous photo sessions this Christmas season. Their property is absolutely gorgeous and I have never been so excited about a photo session. My husband and I bought our first real tree from this Christmas Tree farm this year. We took the kids and cut down our very own Christmas tree. It was such a neat experience and I would encourage everyone to do it at least once in their lifetime. The tree was not nearly as heavy as we thought it would be. A lot of people say they love the smell of a real Christmas tree, but I couldn't really smell it. Maybe it was the type of tree? I don't know. Other people say that the needles are horrible to clean up. We really didn't have a lot of needles fall. The owners said that fresh cut Christmas trees last a lot longer than ones bought at the store because they cut them about a month before they are delivered to the store. We will be cutting a fresh Christmas tree every year!

For Cripe's Sake
As I sit here and try to think of the best way to describe this family, the first thing that comes to mind is AWESOME! They are dear friends that live on the other side of the planet. Okay, maybe not, it just seems that way. They are only a few hours away and we don't get to see each other as often as we would like. We met up this summer to take some pictures. Baby Jack is getting so big-I just can't believe it. I really should believe it since that's what kids do! It is just too fast!
I can't wait to see these kiddos and their parents again. Maybe once basketball season is over...

Little Miss Hazel
Taking pictures of Hazel was such a joy because she slept throught the entire thing! She is absolutely precious and is getting so big already! I love the artistic side of taking pictures and using Photoshop to create special effects to pictures.
Sisters
My 3 cousins asked me to take their family portraits this past year. I absolutley loved taking their pictures and spending time with them creating these everlasting memories. It is so fun to watch the kids grow and see how they change. Thanks, ladies!
Maci & Nolan
Maci and Nolan have to be 2 of the sweetest kids (and easiest) that I have taken pictures of. They both are so well behaved and an honest joy to be around. Their mom almost cancelled this photo session because Maci was having a bad day. I encouraged her not to cancel and we couldn't have been more pleased!
Brandon the Hoosier
I took Brandon's senior pictures last May. He is now at Indiana University in Bloomington and I couldn't be more proud of him. He is such a wonderful young man!! I'm looking forward to taking his brother's senior pictures this spring who is also heading to B-town this fall!!

Reid's Newborn Photo
Meet Reid. Reid is my great nephew and was my first photo shoot on this photography adventure. He inspired me to begin taking portraits for other people. So, I started my own company and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am rejuvenated. My creative juices have returned. I'm looking forward to taking pictures in 2013 and can't wait to see where this journey leads me.
